CT Fashion Week designer Q&A – Stefania Morland

Designer Stefania Morland take you on a journey for spring/summer 2015. To a place where the sun shines, the water is crystal blue and the only chore is to think what outfit to wear next.

1) Can you tell us more about the collection you’ll be showing?
This collection is about the freedom of fashion and the emotions it can conjure. Our fashion shows are meant to charm and inspire the audience, if only for a moment, it is our vision of a holiday spent in style.
The audience can expect delicate layering and casual silhouettes paired with shoes by Nine West, a partnership that has been running for a number of years now. To finish off the holiday wardrobe Innersecrets reveal detailed swimwear in coral and monochromatic tones.

2) What have you learnt from the previous collection?
We always try to better ourselves as best we can. Obviously we have our signature look that defines our style and it gets tricky to keep reinterpreting different trends and seasons to keep it interesting and new. Our knowledge of our customers has definitely grown over the years and it is this understanding that keeps us growing from strength to strength.

3) What are you thoughts on fashion e-commerce VS. boutiques/retail shopping?
E-commerce on the consumers side of view is quick and easy seeing something you like and at the click of a button it’s being delivered to you. I appreciate online shopping but to me nothing is better than feeling and trying on a garment. Another thing that we value is our customers who come in on a regular basis and interact with us.

4) Finish the sentence: African fashion is… on the map of where to look for talent and creativity.
