The U.S tour scene has always been a source of great fashion moments by music’s biggest female stars. From Madonna to Britney and Christina to Beyonce, every diva knows that what she wears is almost as important as the show itself. Here are a few designer looks you’ll see on their tour circuit this year:
Beyonce on the On The Run Tour
Probably one of the most anticipated tours of the American summer, music’s most influential couple have set out on a unique joint tour which has provided us with some of Beyonce’s most provocative but fashionable tour pieces yet.
Atelier Versace designed the body hugging, ass-displaying leather and mesh body suit that made headlines from the second the curtains went up.
Versace designed a huge ‘bedazzled billboard’ as a long-sleeved bodysuit. I mean, no way can you mistake this for anything but Versace. A matching, very on trend turban came with it.
Alexander Wang gave her this leather cut-out body piece and (practically unnecessary) jacket she wears while working that signature lace-front.
She also pays homage to her home town of Houston, Texas in this country-inspired denim look by Diesel complete with some Daisy Dukes.
Miley Cyrus on the Bangerz World Tour
The Miley hype has thankfully died down but that doesn’t mean it’s over for the controversial artist. She is currently on her Bangerz World Tour in some… well… Miley-esque outfits – super ratchet and sexy yet slightly uncomfortable looking.
Performance fashion designers, The Blonds, were Miley’s go-to team to design her more stand out and gawdy looks. Her butt and super long legs being on full display in each quirky piece.
Miley did think of the children a bit as she covered up in this black, floor-length, opaque Marc Jacobs gown. Perks of being a star of an MJ campaign, perhaps?
Even though her most talked about looks are by the more eccentric of designers, Miley doesn’t leave the iconic Roberto Cavalli behind as he designed these two looks for her tour.
Katy Perry on Prismatic Tour
This is a star whose sense of style may be the only example of a good cartoon turned real. Even though she’s been a bit more mature on the red carpet lately, she still gives her Katy Kats (or whatever they are) fans exactly what they fell in love with her for on this tour.
This Jeremy Scott Moschino design (yes, I know. The brand lines are kind of crossed) is a mix of her cute but silly style whilst adding a bit of maturity.
Roberto Cavalli gave the artist a metallic and glow-in-the-dark crop top and skater skirt outfit. I just think she looks adorable, don’t you? A little childish for her age, some might say, but so darn cute it’s okay.
Di$count Univer$e duo designed a pop-art like jumpsuit that just screams YOU ARE AT MY TOUR SO PAY ATTENTION! I mean, who could take their eyes off someone in this?! I love it and I’m sure her fans do to.
