The creativity explosion at the #designindaba

If I had to describe the Design Indaba in one word It would be overwhelming. The magnitude of the event, the number of people and all the creativity under one roof was all overwhelming. This however wasn’t a bad thing! It’s a true sign of how artistic South Africa truly is, and I think Design Indaba is merely the tip of the iceberg in this regard.

I loved the fact that I saw 3D printers on one side, yet could walk over to a stall showcasing traditional African beading; it’s a great combination showing what Africa is capable of. Events like this solidify why we should support local and buy ZA only, we have immense talent right under our noses and we need to do our best to nurture all local industries.

I went for the fashion but got to see much more and ended up falling in love (once again) with the creativity our country is so great at. Have a look at what some people had to showcase…
