Bigger Perspective: Stop the muffin top

Muffins are delicious, muffin tops aren’t! It’s that simple, the amount of people I see wearing ill-fitting jeans is just disturbing. Now, this isn’t coming from a skinny bitch telling the bigger ladies to stop the disgusting muffin tops, in fact I too was a victim of this until I saw the light and by light I mean the awesomeness that is well-fitted jeans. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the malicious muffin top not only affects the curvaceous sisters, but many other lovely ladies out there, so it all boils down to size and fit. If it’s a question about being on trend and wanting to be fashionable, my opinion is that being well put together is what makes you stand out amongst the mass of people following trends that don’t suit them.

And if your argument is money-related, well I’d suggest you put off buying the cheaper, unflattering pants for a month or two, save what you would have spent on them and then purchase the better fitting, flattering pants instead.

As we all know, good jeans are the foundation of a good wardrobe, so choose wisely next time you go on a mission to get a pair or two. You’d want to get quality jeans that you know will last longer and look better.High rise jeans

Each to their own is what we believe in here at Flair360 Fashion, so not every look will suit everyone. Looking at your body shape is very important, whether you’re an apple, pear or strawberry (we’re all delicious anyways). However this post isn’t about what pants to wear for which shape, but rather about the fit.

Now, for the bigger ladies if you’re afraid of being attacked by that vicious muffin top, why not opt for a high rise pair of jeans, its stops the tummy and love handles from oozing out the top of your pants. It’s also great in avoiding selling crack, you know, when you bend over, sit down or generally move more vigorously than a robot would, and your butt crack decides now is a good time to say hello to everyone behind you. It’s one of the most unflattering things to happen to a woman and not very classy at all.High rise jeans

If you don’t necessarily want a high rise pants because you’re only worried about those little love handles, then why not try a regular rise pants? It’s comfortable and will make you look a thousand times better than those risky low rise pants.

Okay so if you’re now thinking, ‘wait, I can totally rock low rise jeans without any muffin top’, well good on you… now go eat something dammit!

A few tips when buying jeans, make sure they look great no matter what, don’t just fit them on and stare at yourself in the mirror (Well hello there gorgeous) Move around in them, kick your legs, shake your booty, sit in them and if anything feels too tight or too loose then it’s just not for you. Don’t be despondent though, you’re bound to find something that will look perfect on you. In the end it will be worth the money-saving, manic-mall-searching, fifty-fittings, ninja-kicking, Beyoncé booty-hopping and money spending.

Once you find what suits you best, try different styles and colours, pair it with a funky tank and you’re good to go for summer. Try it with a pretty blouse and blow your colleagues away at work.

Either way, focus on fit and keep it classy.
